Thetford Porta Potti toilets and Folding Frames provide a comfortable and far less cumbersome alternative to commodes which grant people with restricted mobility or heightened toilet needs (such as the elderly, convalescents or the physically impaired) a sense of independence and dignity.

Which toilet aid and mobility frame combination should I go for?

All Thetford Porta Potti Toilets provide complete ease of use and comfort, however they all have a range of different heights, flush options and even individual features such as toilet roll compartments and level indicators which may or may not be important factors in what you require from a Toilet Aid.

As a brief guide, the Porta Potti Excellence is the most domestically styled and has the tallest height making them the easiest to get on and off of and so is perfect for people with severe physical impairments. Since it’s available with a touch button electric (battery powered) flush the Porta Potti Excellence is also great for people who might struggle with performing a manual flush (i.e. arthritis sufferers).

Both the 165 and 365 feature manual flushes, however whilst the 165 is a standard style porta potti toilet with bellows flush, the 365 has a pump action flush (which in our honest opinion also has the most solid and stable manual flush handle).

The Thetford Portable Toilet Folding Frame provides an approximate 10cm lift to the porta potti for extra stability and comfort and is compatible for use with the 165 Qube, 365 Qube and the Excellence (with manual or electric flush).

The frame is included in the price and is also available on its own in the event that you already have access to a suitable Thetford toilet. You’ll also need to buy some Thetford Toilet chemicals to keep the toilet working at full capacity, fresh and clean.
